My work
• 3C & Gameplay Developer

During this remote game jam with e-artsup Montpellier, I was the developer responsible for creating the game's 3C (Character, Camera, and Controls) as well as ensuring the gameplay was fun, in line with the theme "Make me laugh." This project allowed me to collaborate with another developer from a different city, improving my remote communication skills.
Some Mechanics Explained
Repair Gas Mechanic
The gas repair system consists of several subsystems:
-
UI: Displays a slider with a moving indicator (UI animation), guiding the player to repair the valve at the right moment.
-
Success: Closes the UI, adds one valve to the quest progress, and removes the broken state from the valve.
-
Failure: Allows the player to retry until they succeed.
Gas Tolerance Mechanic
This feature is activated when the player reaches the minimum gas tolerance threshold, causing them to go crazy with obstructed vision.
The mechanic relies on the gas value: if it exceeds a certain threshold, the game applies a different post-process effect to create a blurry or distorted vision effect.
